The Journey University Internship Program is designed to give participants ministry experience, as well as a glimpse into the life of someone in ministry. Interns will gain valuable experience while working alongside Journey Staff members. We believe in pouring into people so that through relationships they can gain the knowledge to pour into someone else for the glory of God.
Internship positions with the Journey Leadership Academy are available with several different options, including Summer and Year-long opportunities with partnership with The Agora Group.

Internship FAQ
Q: Who is Journey Community Church?
A: For more information on Journey Community Church, please visit this link.
Q: How long is a Journey Community Church Internship?
A: Internships are a total of 3, 6, 9 & 12 months long and begin with a three-month summer internship opportunity (not required, but strongly suggested).
Q: How many hours a week will my internship be?
A: Interns will serve between 20 and 30 hours a week doing ministry and should estimate 10-15 hours a week in addition to that for training, study, and discipleship. We also want to ensure interns are taking a day off to rest each week.
Q: What happens during the three-month trial period?
A: The trial period allows time for interns to become familiar with their ministry assignment and make sure that the internship is a good fit for both the intern and the campus or department. It is not uncommon for the first couple of months of an internship to be filled with excitement. If an intern is not demonstrating commitment, integrity, and humility they may not be accepted to continue with the internship.
Q: Does it cost anything to be an intern?
A: It does not cost anything to be an intern during our summer session at Journey Community Church. However, in the Fall and Spring there is a cost if you are interested in taking the suggested classes for licensing and ordination. Inasmuch as it is possible, we try to give generously to our interns because Jesus gives generously to us.
Q: Who can be an intern?
A: Internships are open to men and women who are at least 18 years of age and fill out the appropriate applications and paperwork.
Q: Is this a paid internship?
A: Our Summer Internship Program is a paid internship.
